Which is reflected in the fall-winter 2015/16 collection
A site specific installation, totally sui generis. Set up in the Abbey of San Gregorio in Venice, until November 22nd, Becoming Marni is a display of a hundred colorful woodcarvings by Brazilian artist Véio. This is the final act, in conjunction with the 56th Biennale, of the Marni Prisma program for the celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the brand founded by Consuelo Castiglioni.
An ideal landscape of organic silhouettes - an animal, a bird, a resting human being - carved by the creative carioca artist into logs and branches found along rivers after immediately identifying an animated form in each piece.
Monumental silhouettes. As the proposals of the womenswear fall-winter 2015/16 collection. Double-layered fabrics, oversized cuts, movement given by draping that sometimes reveal a detail of the body. Austere forms, but always in motion.
Changing ... and therefore so dear to the brand and Véio.
