Moral of the story? "Plots" are better
Knitwear, woven plots par excellence, can be used on numerous occasions
during the cold seasons. Here's how to interpret them for the autumn-winter 2015/16
In fiction, the author of a story can choose the order in which facts are narrated. If the events are described by carefully following their logical and chronological order, that's a fable (story). It is a plot, instead, when the writer decides to anticipate events that in fact occurred later, or introduce flashbacks, thus subverting the actual order. In short, a fantasy sequence is created in order to arouse further interest or suspense.
This is a plot, which is also the very soul of each fabric. Therefore, a garment, resulting from a disruptive element, can be interpreted to taste and worn with the free use of the imagination without a specific dress code.
That's why for the autumn-winter 2015/16 season, knitwear is used as a second skin, in the shape of maxi cardigans that replace coats on warm early autumn days. Or in the oversized version, worn over denim almost like a sculpture. Or simply in the classic style, matched with a blouse.
And since Winter, again, is on our doorstep, knitwear is a great companion even before the fireplace.
Maybe while reading a story (sorry, a plot) with a happy ending.
