With the Shadow Project line, the Italian brand that made innovation its mission, experiments with clothing items aimed at performance, but with an urban elegance style
The brand, known for the famous detachable wind rose-logo badge on the sleeve, has won a place in the Pantheon of Italian sportswear since its establishment in 1982, thanks to the intuition of art director Massimo Osti. So much so that we could even nickname it MileStone Island, as this is a landmark brand in the manufacturing of men's outerwear and clothing.
In more than three decades, Stone Island has tested a wide range of processing methods, ennobling and finishes on fabrics, also thanks to the 60 thousand dyeing formulas they can rely on. Experiments collected in an archive of more than 40 thousand garments.
Once the whole color palette had been explored, the brand "shifted" to shadows. And here comes Stone Island Shadow Project: a targeted collection, an integrated system of use aimed at performance, originating from technique, but leaning towards urban elegance.
Stone Island Shadow Project 2015/2016 fall/winter collection proposes fluid, spontaneous items, but also subtly sophisticated. The technology used to test details and special processing is faced with ease. As a result, the proposed clothing items, accessories and footwear for men alternate rich colors and contrast shade accents. Materials are flexible, yet robust. Soft to touch, yet weather-tough.
This is the result of a tireless laboratory research work. One single mission: to explore the unexplored, even in terms of shadows!
